in the battle of stalingrad, germany invaded russia and they lost like 3 million soldiers or sumfin cuz of the cold. but i ferget when it happened.... the turning points were stalingrad, when we invaded africa, and d-day. japan needed germany's support because now they shared a common enemy, us so they palled up.

Summer 1941 Hitler turns on Stalin with operation Barbarossa. 3 million Germans die at Moscow that Winter but Hitler strikes back in Spring 1942 and moves across the USSR to Stalingrad. This is the first big turning point in Europe as Stalin not only stops Hitler after a horrible Winter but then starts driving Hitler back to Germany.
The second turning point in Europe was the Spring of 1943 when Patton takes over the US troops in N. Africa and we finally beat Rommel with our Ally Great Britain. Then we start pushing Germany back through Italy and then France.
The turning point in the Pacific was June 4-5 when the US finally stops Japan at Midway. Then we start pushing Japan back with the invasion of Guadalcanal.
